My crony has a Ipod Chromatic as well as a automobile games he plays, he uses his ipod as a total to steer, not only a click wheel.
Does this have anything to do with a accelerometer? Can my Ipod do a same?
Btw, my iPod is a nano 3rd generation.

Yes, it does have something to do with a accelerometer. It relys upon a accelerometer to know a controls for a games. However, a iPod Nano 3G does not have a built-in accelerometer, so a answer would be no, your iPod can not fool around those games which need a accelerometer.
